Departure is scheduled for Thursday and you\u2019ll be able to follow the journey in real time, day by day, on Instagram.<\/p>\n<section class=\"article-section\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section>    <figure class=\"image-banner\">\t\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nauticescala.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/2025-nauticescala-varis-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\n\t<\/figure><!-- end image-banner -->\n<section class=\"article-section\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section>\n<p><br><strong>A crew with an adventurous spirit<\/strong><\/p>\n<section class=\"article-section\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section>\n<p>The main characters are <strong>Jordi Rodr\u00edguez and Xantal Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, both yacht captains, who have decided to make their dream come true: <strong>sailing around the world<\/strong> and <strong>making the sea their home<\/strong>. They will be joined by <strong>Swan<\/strong>, a miniature schnauzer who will be the third \u201ccrew member.\u201d<\/p>\n<section class=\"article-section\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section>    <figure class=\"image-banner\">\t\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nauticescala.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/2025-nauticescala-varis-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\n\t<\/figure><!-- end image-banner -->\n<section class=\"article-section\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section>\n<p><br><strong>The boat and the preparation<\/strong><\/p>\n<section class=\"article-section\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section>\n<p><strong>The Davinci<\/strong> is a <strong>15-metre Najad (2008)<\/strong>, a robust and safe ocean-going sailboat that they have spent months preparing technically to face a voyage of this scale with <strong>safety, autonomy, and comfort<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<section class=\"article-section\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section>    <figure class=\"image-banner\">\t\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nauticescala.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/2025-nauticescala-varis-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\n\t<\/figure><!-- end image-banner -->\n<section class=\"article-section\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section>\n<p><br><strong>Planned route and return to L\u2019Escala<\/strong><\/p>\n<section class=\"article-section\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section>\n<p>They will depart from <strong>L\u2019Escala (42\u00b007\u2019N \/ 003\u00b008.6\u2019E)<\/strong>, head down to the <strong>Strait of Gibraltar<\/strong>, continue to the <strong>Canary Islands<\/strong> and <strong>Cape Verde<\/strong>, cross the Atlantic to the <strong>Leeward Islands<\/strong> and the <strong>Caribbean<\/strong>, and then proceed through the <strong>Pacific<\/strong>.
