The pump-out system, a key practice to protect the sea

The quality of seawater largely depends on good navigation practices and proper management of waste generated on board. In this context, the Club provides users with a service designed to promote more responsible and environmentally respectful navigation.

The management of wastewater is essential to reduce the environmental impact of nautical activity and preserve the quality of the marine environment. Therefore, proper disposal of bilge and sanitary water from vessels is facilitated, preventing it from being discharged directly into the sea.

These waters may contain pollutants that affect the quality of coastal waters. Proper management allows:

  • Preventing discharges
  • Ensuring appropriate treatment
  • Maintaining a cleaner and safer environment

The service is available at the port service station and is managed by the marina staff, who assist users in its use.

Incorporating this practice into daily routines is part of the responsible navigation guidelines that the Club promotes among its members and users, in line with its commitment to sustainability and environmental quality.
For this reason, users are encouraged to make use of this service whenever necessary and to integrate it as a standard onboard practice.
