A responsible Marina

We take care of you and our environment, will you help us?

Committed to quality and the environment

We have developed a comprehensive quality and environmental management system (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EMAS), a code of ethics and quality and environmental policy to promote the preservation of the port and its surroundings.

We are also adhered to the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism of the EUROPARC Federation, to the Blue Flag program managed by ADEAC-FEE and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 2030).

On the other hand, the Club works to propose sustainable sporting and social events with the aim of minimizing their impact on the environment.

With more than 7 km of coastline, l’Escala offers places to suit all tastes: from sandy beaches made of dunes to pebbled coves and cliffs…

One of the main assets of the Club is its privileged situation. We are in the heart of the Costa Brava, located between three natural parks:

  • Montgrí, Illes Medes and Baix Ter Natural Park, especially recognized by the Medes islands, but also for its coves and cliffs.
  • Aiguamolls de l’Empordà Natural Park, one of the most important protected areas for birds in southern Europe.
  • Cap de Creus Natural Park, known for its coves with unique geology and dark rocks and its charming villages.

During the busiest months for boating, mooring buoys will be available so you can enjoy the sea while respecting the environment.

As usual, anchoring is regulated in certain areas of the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park, as well as in some parts of l’Escala, with the aim of protecting the seagrass (Posidonia) meadows along the Costa Brava.

In areas of free anchoring, please note that anchoring on seagrass meadows (such as Posidonia oceanica and Cymodocea nodosa) is strictly prohibited. Please consult the map where these meadows are identified

Check the buoys available for anchoring in each area!

Thank you for making good use of the port and navigate responsibly!
