MedFoto 2026 · Winners Announcement and Exhibition Opening

A view of the Mediterranean taking shape in L’Escala.

On July 24, the Club Nàutic l’Escala will host the final event of MedFoto 2026 – International Mediterranean Photography Contest, including the announcement of the winners and the opening of the official exhibition.

This moment culminates months of participation and creativity, in an edition that has brought together hundreds of photographs and perspectives from across the Mediterranean, consolidating the project as an international benchmark.

Winners Announcement

During the event, the awarded and finalist photographs of the 2026 edition, selected by a specialized jury, will be revealed. The winning images stand out for their artistic quality, their ability to tell the story of the Mediterranean, and their environmental sensitivity. This recognition highlights the authors who have captured the essence of the sea and the relationship between people and their surroundings.

Opening of the MedFoto Exhibition

After the ceremony, the official MedFoto 2026 exhibition will be opened at the Club Nàutic l’Escala. The exhibition features a selection of finalist and award-winning photographs, offering visitors a visual journey through the Mediterranean across different perspectives and themes. Landscapes, biodiversity, maritime professions, sports, daily life and conservation come together in an exhibition that invites reflection on the value of our marine environment.

An edition to remember

With this new edition, MedFoto continues to grow both as a project and as a community, consolidating itself as a platform to tell the story of the Mediterranean through multiple perspectives.

On July 24, the Mediterranean is observed and shared.

MedFoto is more than a photography contest. It is a project born with the aim of highlighting the Mediterranean, promoting its environmental, cultural and human values, and raising awareness through imagery. The project supports a kind of photography that respects, explains and inspires, understanding the sea as a collective heritage that must be preserved.

The winners announcement and the exhibition opening are open to the public and represent an opportunity to experience the Mediterranean from a new perspective. It is a key event for anyone interested in photography, the sea, and culture.

Hosting MedFoto at the Club Nàutic l’Escala strengthens the connection between territory, sea and visual culture. L’Escala is thus established as a meeting point for creators and audiences, and as a reference space for telling the story of the Mediterranean through photography.
