During September, about 30 journalists from all over Europe came to visit the Club. They discovered first hand the Club’s services and the attractions of sailing on the coast of l’Escala.
Two press trips organised by the Costa Brava Tourist Board made this possible. The first one took place on 21st September. During their trip they got to know the city of Girona and the Costa Brava better, and they stopped in l’Escala to enjoy one of the guided cruise routes offered by the Club to discover the Montgrí Natural Park while sailing.
The second group visited the Club on 29th September, from where they went sailing to the Medes Islands and then returned to the port, where they found out about some of the sports activities on offer at the Club.
Through these initiatives, the Club aims to help raise awareness of l’Escala and the Costa Brava as a sailing tourist destination where you can enjoy sports, nature and culture in a responsible way respecting the environment.
