The Club has acquired a DPOL pump unit from Ekkopol. It’s a gadget that sits on a layer of water in the port, collecting floating residue and hydrocarbons automatically 24 hours a day.
Its implementation, included in the Club’s 2024 action plan, optimises the quality of the water inside the harbour, contributing to the regeneration of its biodiversity. The project has received funding from the Grup d’Acció Local Pesquer Costa Brava, the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and the Catalan Government’s Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda.
It is therefore working towards the creation of a Blue Port by maintaining its facilities clean. Along these lines, but on land, the arrival of a new electric broom will facilitate the daily exterior cleaning tasks of the Club’s Staff.
