Record low water consumption thanks to everyone

In our coastal environment, water management is essential. Thanks to the involvement of the Club and all its users, we have achieved the lowest water consumption in the last 20 years — a result that confirms our environmental commitment and the importance of working together to preserve such a valuable resource. In 2026, this reduction continues to consolidate, representing a significant step forward for such a fragile territory as the one that surrounds us. This achievement is the result of many actions sustained over time and a responsible attitude from the entire Club community.

A key element in this improvement has been the implementation of the water‑consumption monitoring system, with sectorised valves that allow immediate detection of leaks and rapid action on any network incident. This tool has enabled us to reduce losses, precisely control usage, and improve the port’s overall efficiency.

These improvements are complemented by the ongoing savings measures applied throughout the facilities: automatic push‑button taps, low‑flow shower heads, hose diffusers, flow reducers, and other measures that help reduce regular consumption at showers, water points and Club facilities. We also have rainwater‑collection systems that allow reuse for services such as WC facilities, further reducing potable water demand.

Finally, the role of users has been decisive: the good practices adopted over the years, the care taken in maintenance tasks, and the growing awareness of responsible consumption have been essential in reaching this milestone. Achieving the lowest water use in two decades is not just a statistic: it is the result of a shared effort, a forward‑looking mindset, and a clear will to protect the environment that hosts us. And we will continue working to ensure that this progress continues in the coming years.

With all these actions, we reaffirm our commitment: caring for the sea is caring for the future.
