2020 agenda and events
Cruise Sailing
The highlight of the calendar for this year’s cruise sailing section will without doubt be the J70 Championship of Catalonia. The monotype competition will take place from 19th to 21st June and will bring together the best of the Catalan fleet… excitement guaranteed!
Also making a comeback are the historical events of the Club, such as the Escalagde Regatta (21st to 23rd May), the Comodor Cup – Memorial Nandu Muñoz (2nd and 3rd May), the arrival of the Tramuntana Route (3rd and 4th July) and the third phase of the Interclubs Empordà (10th and 11th October).
There is also room for leisure sailing in this section. The Sailing Meetings will continue to take place and all lovers of cruise sailing are invited to come and enjoy sailing together month after month.
Fishing
The fishing section is still one of the most active ones in the Club, with a full calendar of Nautivela sponsored meetings for fun fishing with friends. This year, the Nautivela-Bénéteau Social Fishing League is organising six meetings dedicated to different species and formats for all tastes.
Notable among them is the Barracuda Tour, which will take place on 25th April with a very special prize: the winner gets to take part in the Bénéteau Barracuda Tour, the international annual competition that is organised by the French boat builder.
Dinghy Sailing
Fans of dinghy sailing also have a diary full of activities to suit everyone. In the competition section, this year we are holding the Regatta Masters l’Escala of Laser Master, on 21st and 22nd March; the Costa Brava Sailing Meeting, on 4th and 5th April; the Atena Regatta, which is celebrated by the l’Escala Festa Major between 5th and 6th September and the Optimist’s Mar d’Empúries Regatta, on 26th and 27th September.
All of these events are combined with the Guided Routes and the classic Open Regatta. Opportunities to meet up, sail and enjoy the Mar d’Empuries Sea to the full!
Social Events
On land and at sea… the Club is also a place to have fun on land! That’s why the 2020 social calendar contains activities in which the most important thing to do is have a good time with friends. For example, the classic Members’ Day, which will take place on 1st August and where in addition to having dinner under the stars at night you can also enjoy water sports during the day.
On 11th July the Popular Barbecue is back to welcome the summer with a themed evening and dinner, and on 22nd August, the Club’s most musical date, the Live Music Concert.
In addition, the Annual General Meeting of Members will take place on 18th April.
Conferences
The different areas of the Club are also places for learning and sharing experiences. That is why we have planned to hold a variety of conferences open to everyone. A space for you to live the Club, where the members and users of the Club can listen to each other, learn from each other and share their best sailing experiences.
