  • Category: Notice

The Club Nàutic l’Escala reports that on May 9 the Order TMA / 400/2020 has been published in the BOE.

This document, which expands Communiqué No. 5, modifies Phase 1 in terms of mobility and makes the conditions for the exercise of recreational or sports navigation more flexible.

Order SND / 414/2020 of May 16 also introduces sport and recreational fishing as one of the activities allowed in Phase 1.

When the Girona health region enters Phase 1, the current regulation will be as follows:

  • Recreational and sports navigation will be allowed in limited groups and will be limited to the same health region and up to a distance of 12 miles from the port or facility from where the activity begins.
  • Only 50% of the people authorized in the certificates of each boat can board unless they are the people who live at the same address. In this case, the occupation may be up to 100%, although the total number of people on board may not exceed 10 people.
  • On jet skis, only one person can navigate on board, except if they are people who reside at the same address. In this case, they cannot exceed the number of places authorized by the manufacturer.
  • People residing in the same province where the rental company is located will be able to rent jet skis and pleasure boats.
  • The practice of sport and recreational fishing in all its modalities is allowed as long as the safety distance and the hygiene and prevention measures established by the health authorities are respected. When it is not possible to maintain the safety distance, the use of a mask will be mandatory. Fishing utensils, food or drink will not be shared. Used fishing utensils must be cleaned and disinfected.
  • In all these activities, the personal limitations established for this phase must be respected and measures of disinfection and reinforcement of health and hygiene standards in the boats must be adopted.
  • Transient boats with a base port located outside the health region keep their entry to the port restricted except in an emergency situation. In this case, they must request an authorization to enter the port and the mobility of their crew or occupants outside the vessel will be subject to the same restrictions as for the rest of the population. However, they can choose another stay destination only once during the period of restriction of mobility of people.

The Club’s Sports Area will open its facilities and offer the sports services established in its subscription program, rental, private lessons and sailing courses for groups of no more than 10 people.

The other port services that may reopen its doors are the public ramp, the nautical charter (Novaimport), the diving activity offered by Orca Diving and the Club La Barra del Port restaurant.

Containment measures in the field of activity also establish that the management of ports, docks and maritime facilities, as well as port services and activities to guarantee technical security in port operations are permitted. In this sense, the Club will continue with its activity with regard to its services such as offices, changing rooms and restrooms and a gas station, always complying with the hygiene and safety recommendations established by the competent authorities.
