Many sailors agree that once the peak season ends, one of the best times to discover the Costa Brava from the sea begins. September and the autumn months combine excellent sailing conditions with a more relaxed, authentic and meaningful experience.
Stopping over in L’Escala at this time of year is an opportunity to experience the Sea of Empúries from a different perspective: with more space, greater tranquillity and plenty of time to explore the surroundings.
Less traffic, more sea
The reduction in maritime traffic after summer makes navigation more comfortable and allows access to coves, hidden corners and natural areas with a sense of calm that is difficult to find during the busiest months of the year.

An active Club beyond summer
The season does not end in August. Throughout September and October, the Club continues to host regattas, gatherings and activities that keep the harbour’s nautical spirit alive. The 15th Mar d’Empúries Trophy, the 28th Traditional Lateen Sail Gathering and the Salt Festival are just a few examples of an agenda that combines sport, culture and the sea.
